IGN is typically a very reliable source on gaming news and that I was as excited as another Fortnite enthusiast by this change. Unfortunately, it had been too good to be true.Fortnite: Save The World Is Half-Off, Free V-Bucks And All Of.Editor’s Note: This article erroneously stated that gamers on Switch may use their Epic account should they originally played on PS4. This is NOT the case and has been written in error, and the article has fortnite materials since been upgraded. IGN regrets the mistake.
Fortnite’s complimentary V-bucks are half-off right now, even though that’s a small contradiction in terms. How do free V-Bucks be off half? Isn’t zero divided by two still zero? Yeson a technical level, that’s accurate. But the sphere of V-buck farming is somewhat absurd to begin with, and therefore we’re going to throw that fundamental notion out the window. The ability to acquire free V-bucks by purchasing Fortnite: Save the World is half off right now, down from $39.99 for $19.99 for the standard edition.
Here is the gist of what I mean here. Fortnite: Battle Royale, that’s the edition of Fortnite that most everyone is playing, has no real way to get totally free V-Bucks. The only way to acquire V-bucks given to you in-game cheap fortnite items is to buy the battle pass and rate this up. And while you did get marginally more V-bucks than you set in by doing so, it is not much.
The catch has always been that you must pay upfront to get Save the World, despite the fact that you can finally make the math work by farming V-bucks. That math gets a great deal more favorable with this discount, and you will essentially turn a V-buck profit just by amassing the sign-in bonus for 100 days. And you’ll be able to get far more than that by actually signing in and completing missions.
